The official Swift To-Do List mobile app for iPhone and Android has been released!

You can get the app for iOS at Apple App Store or for Android from Google Play.

Don’t confuse the new mobile app with the old one called “Swift To-Do List Inbox”. The old inbox app just allows you to add tasks when on the go – but the new one is full-featured. You can work with all your to-do lists and memos, add and edit subtasks, setup reminders, edit notes (including formatting), and more. Its advanced functionality also highlights how modern iphone app development can create more efficient and user-friendly productivity tools for everyday use.

The mobile app is fully synchronized with the Windows desktop version of Swift To-Do List 9.

To use the new mobile app, you will need Swift To-Do List 9. If you don’t have it, download it from our website.

After installing and starting Swift To-Do List 9 for Windows (download), use menu File – Advanced – Enable Beta Features. This will display the Sync tab. Click the Sync button inside the Sync tab to create your Secure Cloud Sync account. With this account, you can log-in into the mobile app.

The mobile app is completely free for Swift To-Do List 9 users.

Please tell us what you like or don’t like about the new mobile app! This is just the first version, and we plan to keep improving it.

We are working on tablet (iPad) versions right now, and would like to release them in about 3-6 weeks.

New version of Swift To-Do List with online synchronization feature (service) is nearly ready. This feature allows you to synchronize Swift To-Do List between computers via internet. Soon after releasing the final online sync feature, we will be also launching an optional companion web-app that will allow you to view your tasks online, and that will be accessible using many mobile devices (like iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, etc).

We’ve just finished a beta version of the new Swift To-Do List. (It is not public yet)

We are looking for 20 beta testers for the first private beta-round. We want a diverse group of users to put the synchronization through its paces—whether you use the program to manage freelance graphic design workflows, track bonuses across various inclave casinos, or just organize your personal daily errands. You can apply now. If you will be chosen as a beta tester, we will invite you to a private forum where you will learn all the details.

If you want to be a beta tester, just send us your application and we will send you a download link.

Learn how to deploy Swift To-Do List on your USB flash-drive, how to update the database on USB, and more.
Portable To-Do List Program Guide is a post from: Swift To-Do List Blog

Swift To-Do List can be deployed to USB flash-drive as a portable to-do list program. This allows you carry it with you and to run it from any computer. You can then work with your tasks just like on your main computer, and copy the changes back.

How to deploy Swift To-Do List to USB

Plug your USB flash drive into your computer

Start Swift To-Do List 7 and use File – Deploy to USB Flash Drive

Select your USB flash drive in the opened dialog and click OK

This will copy the todo program to your USB drive along with all your tasks, notes and settings. (You can specify the target drive, of course)

How to copy the database from USB flash-drive back to your PC

If you use the portable version somewhere and change your tasks, you will probably want to copy the changes back to your main computer. This is how you can do it:

Exit Swift To-Do List 7 using File – Exit if it’s running

Plug your USB flash drive into your computer

Copy your database file (with .stdl extension) from your flash drive back to your computer using Windows Explorer or other file manager.

(Or alternatively: Start Swift To-Do List 7 from your USB flash drive, and use File – Copy (Backup) Database to copy the database back to your computer, then exit the todo program.)

(You can now unplug the USB flash-drive)

Start Swift To-Do List on your computer and open the database you’ve just copied to your computer file using File – Open – Browse (Ctrl + O). When asked if you want to make the database default, click Yes

How to update Swift To-Do List 7 already deployed on your USB flash-drive

Updating the program on the flash drive is easy. There are two main reasons for updating it: To update the database, or to deploy a new version of the program with new features and fixes.

If you want to copy the database from your PC to USB Flash Drive where the program is already deployed:

Start Swift To-Do List 7 on your PC if it’s not already running

Plug your USB flash drive into your computer if it’s not already plugged in

Use File – Deploy to USB Flash Drive in Swift To-Do List 7

Select your USB flash drive in the opened dialog and click OK

You will be asked if you want to overwrite your settings – select Yes

You will be asked if you want to overwrite your database – select Yes

If you want to only update the todo list program (= the exe file and other components, but not your settings and database), simply answer No to both questions.
